Morning all from a wet (for once!) and very cool Brisbane Australia. I bought a 1997 SAAB 900 coupe back in May and the car has been great. The only thing broken anywhere is the adjustment knob spindle for the lumbar support in the driver's seat (the plastic screw thread has sheared off). Can anyone tell me how much of a job it would be to fix this? e.g. Does the velour fabric on the seat back pull off or is it a major effort to get to the lumbar support mechanism itself?
Regards
Bob
Post note: Just discovered the great search engine on this site and found a whole heap of information on what apparently is an inherent weakness in SAAB seats. I now know how to get at the support - but would still appreciate some advice on what I have to replace to fix it.
