Hi All!

Brand new to the forum. This looks like the place to get some answers.

I've been rocking one low beam for far too long. Every time I replace the headlamp, it burns out within the week.

Turns out, the piggyback is burned out. (picture attached)

Any idea where to find a new one or fix the problem?

The H7 repair socket won't work on the '08 unfortunately, unless the halogen setups are different then my cornering xenon units.

I don't think the halogens ever changed.

Edit: It appears they did.

No. Stock plug needs to be functional to use an HID kit.

This might work. You'd have to cut, solder, and heat shrink to do it right:

I just dealt with this by cutting off the wires to the melted connector and crimping on a regular spade lug connector.

My problem was working with almost no space between the bulb and battery. Is there an easy way to get the lens assembly out? Doesn't the bumper cover need to come off?

Yup, bumper off. But only a 5-10 minute job.
