I have a 2003 saab 9-3 og se vert when I put light switch to park lights mode only, low beams don’t come on which is how I want it.

But on my 2000 saab 9-3 og base 5 door when I put light switch to park lights mode only the low beams come on, which I don’t want.

Both cars have the daytime running light fuse removed.
What is controlling the low beams to come on with the park lights mode only on the 2000 saab 9-3 og base 5 door? Is there another fuse or is the light control module controlling that, causing the low beams to come on, in park lights mode only? Are the light control modules the same number? And is the light control module the big orange relay in the fuse box under the hood?

I tried switching out the light switch control switch, to no difference. The light control module orange relay in the 2003 saab 9-3 se vert is bad for the high beams so I didn’t try to switch that out yet. I figured I would asked first.

Cashwel - you'll need a mechanic or specialist/friend that has access to a tech2 - as per Jvans comment.
The lights are set according to different market (and legal) settings. US and CAN for example will have different settings than say SWE.
So basically one of your cars - the OG9-3 5dr has had a modification via a tech2. that's why it's different - or potentially it came from a different market.
It is not associated with the lamp relay.

Default in USA was driving lights (all lights actually) always on. Headlight switch position 0 off),1,2 with the only difference between 1 & 2 being that you could not turn on the highbeams in position 1.

You want "Alternative 1" for the headlights, programmed with Tech II per above.

More standard US is 0 (off), 1 parking lights, 2 headlights. You can also program the fog lights to come on with the light combinations you prefer. See the WIS for more info: WIS and EPC for Windows - SaabCentral Forums .

I don’t have the EPC with me so can’t check, but the light switch might be configured differently although they all appear superficially identical.
