Car needs a couple things. Overboosting, side cover on the driver's seat, tires, and the trans has a slight clunk going into gear after slowing to about 2 to 5 miles an hour and then getting back on the gas, such as to make a left turn while on a busy street.

They paid $3780 for it at auction, think $4200 is fair?

I should also add that the service history is a bit dodgy, but the was no oil light and the car pulled fine. And if need be, I know people who can fudge some numbers and make a full service history to get that free block.

Yeah thats a great price, and as far as Auto goes, does it not have the QuickShift Manual in it? I think they started putting that in all Saabs after 2000. i may be wrong though. But yes Stick is better than QuickShift, but it is still a hell of a lot more fun than Auto.

I just want something newish and nice to drive everyday. In fact, with the way my knee has been lately, an auto might be better for me. Besides, the 9000 can now be transformed into a way too powerful weekend warrior.

I drive a 2002 and the '01/'02 are the nicest daily drivers in my opinion. The auto cars all shift kind of funny from what I've found, they're just a little rough going from park and in the lower gears. I've also found that the starters for the auto cars in those years are noisy.
