i locked my keys in the car.. while it's running. the central locked decided it was time to act up while i cleared snow away. It's on a 97 900s.

anyone have any ideas? or do i have to replace a window?

thanks,

Hans
ps: the car is still running.

hmm universal key does sound appealing to sort this problem out. but half bricks may be in short supply.

assuming you don't have the spare key there to use in the door so

it's time for a bent coat hanger between the door and window glass.

put a bend in the end and fish about for a bit and you'll eventually catch the right link rod to trip the door lock open.

in no way do i take any responsiblility for any damage to you or the car you may incur. although it has workin the past for me to get into mine and friends cars when we've locked the keys inside.

explaining to the officer is shall we say intresting ;oops:

are you in the AAA, they should be able to get in for you with out breaking any thing
Best advice
As far as trying to "jimmy" open a door, this may have been possible the older ones, maybe possible on the true Saab 900, but on these new ones , I think not...
Some people keep all their keys together - impossible to lose - ..
Well ,nothing is impossible to lose, except some Egyptian pyramids..
So, our keys are separated..
And I am the master at losing things....
A year ago,or so , this same thing happened to another man on this forum...

i tried to remove the small window behind the rear door, in the process it cracked . At least the hole is very small compared to a side window!

thanks for the replies!
