Nokian WRG2 tires.

Why? Fast wear issues.

Running the 215/55/r16 on the 3 spoke rims.

I am at 5/32, 6/32 on tires with 17 000 miles on them.
Tire inflation pressures are fine, keep them well looked after. Don't drive like an idiot (ok, about 10mph over the speed limit, but nothing worse than that).

This is my second set. First set were completely shot by less than 30 K miles.

The decision was prompted today by my blowout of a rear tire (hard triangle of plastic, slow leak, not known drove on it, had about 2 cups of shredded rubber when they took the tire off the rim:eek: ). The other rear tire had 6/32 on it, and with the need for a new pair of tires, I want to go with something longer lasting.

The next tires (the 2 replacement tires) will be Continental ContiExtremeContact DWS. Got those on my Wagon and they have been great, no issues.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Nokian's stability in the winter and honestly have been a giant fan of them in general, but with less than 30k lifespan, I can't afford these at $200 a tire, each and every year (I drive 25-30K per year).

I can't stand Fuzion tires...

yeah, the Nokians are about $198 mounted.

The conti's are about $140 mounted.

To replace the pair of tires is gonna run me $339 and change, mounted.

these are all seasons... Although when I bought my old Blizzaks about 4 years ago, they were $160 a tire for a dedicated winter set...
