Hi 900 Chaps!

I usually lurk on the 99 board here, but thought I'd post a heads-up as per the subject line for those that don't venture onto UKS very often...

No affiliation - spotted in the scrapyard near my work, please see here for pics and more info.

Thanks, Mark

a UK spec c900 with A/C:eek: !!!

What an ugly leather seat design! Ick!

Looks like a half decent car, what a shame to waste a car like that.

Those are the zip on seat skins sold by the UK dealerships (apparently).

Shocking waste of a decent 900 :x Rust free bonnet!

Shame I'm not closer as I'd raid it for bits for my project. I need all the AC stuff, the bonnet would be good insurance plus a few other bits.

I'd still much rather see it on the road. Are we absolutely sure the breakers wouldn't sell the whole car?

If I had a spare inch of space to take it myself I would have pressed them a lot harder on that subject, but they said it needs to have a certificate of destruction issued on it, so it can't go back on the road...

The kit list for the AC retrofit is quite extensive and it's the small items which are difficult to come by. Examples: cabin air intake and solenoid flapper mechanism, various valves fasteners and brackets. That's why I'm keen to remove the kit from a donor car - that way I know I've got a complete kit.

However, I'll take whatever you've got  I'll PM you.

well,

went to see it today, got the front calipers off it, and a wheel arch trim.... £35
the guy was really receptive, but was gutted when i told him that he should have taken the black wind deflector off the roof, BEFORE he stacked am Escort on top of it (sorry steve  ).... AND, not cracked the screen

anyway, he is happy that the car may be there for a few weeks before it gets cubed (definately wot let it leave the yard, and come back stripped), but he does want £250 for an engine of unknown quality with a gearbox that jumps out of reverse

and i'm still not decided on the leather... there are a few heft crack in the drivers seat
