When I set off on 2 long M-way trips yesterday the front end had it's usual vague floaty feel but about 1/2 hour into each trip the steering feel gradualy came back and continued to improve. I'm thinking that the shocks are not too good when cold and need to do some work to get going - anyone else found this?

more likely tyre pressures or tyre choice that at fault here, if the pressure is a little low until the tyre heats up it could cause a vague feel likewise if the tyre compound is hard it will need to warm up to give up its grip better

I'm not convinced it's a tyre thing - higher pressure means less contact patch which means lighter feeling - likely they get more floaty and ZZ3's have quite a soft compound. I'm going to get the toe reset to a value nearer zero tomorrow as I did notice that it firms up on overrun which is where the dynamic toe setting gets less negative.
