Wonder if someone can tell me where the wireless receiver is for the key fobs. I only had one key and purchased another. A friend with a tech 2 re programmed them and all worked fine for a year. They became intermittent and would not work about one out of 10. We went away for 3 months and the car was on a small solar panel for the battery. They haven't worked since. Tried reprogramming on tech 2 but it could not connect to the car. The key unlocks and locks all doors from the lock and the lock /open switch on the console works also. The open boot works on the drivers door switch. I have two modules for the locking system under the dash on the drivers side and have swapped them, they both work the same. Is the wireless receiver in the ECU? or am I heading the wrong direction ?
Thanks for any help.

Receiver is in the Interior light behind the Rear view mirror.
Fair chance your FOB needs simply needs new Cr 2016 batteries (at a$ store even) they.. don't last forever ;)
FOBs also get iffy when the car's battery charge is sketchy.
Beyond that try disconnecting the Car's battery for a half hour.

You have IMMO present. Thus alarm box will not answer to TECH2.
You need either working alarm box with paired fob or reprogram ECU to disable IMMO.
