If you get the JT full sports system you have to get the Batterboj downpipe as a separate section, is there any full 3" sports systems that include the wide curve downpipe?

Would it be cheaper to take your standard 3" downpipe to a specialist and get it reworked? (it's about £140 for the section alone.)

It would be difficult to get a standard downpipe modifed to be similar to the highflow unit. The shape of the standard pipe is designed to connect to the cast elbow which runs the pipe fairly close to the engine block. The high flow pipe sits much further out (hence the removal of the battery) and closer to the suspension tower before sweeping in and connecting up to the rest of the system.

Unless your existing system is completely shot, it would be more sensible to retain the original back box, buy the highflow downpipe and remove the centre section which contains the existing front silencer and replace this with a 3" straight pipe (which is cheap to purchase). A reducer can then be used to connect the 3" pipe to the back box.

Sp exhaust

I might ask about a bit, see if I can get the downpipe to backbox section prefabbed, then I've just gotta get hold of a Sports box n tailpipe.

Just getting the downpipe and adding a straight pipe to my back box is tempting, my box and tailpipe are in OK condition, would be nice to have a shinny steel tailpipe showing though!

I can't understand why everyone wants to buy a down pipe to cat (I understand buying the cat back). Why don't people just go to a custom exhaust shop? I think I'm going to do it that way, it's cheaper and they said that they could clear my battery.
Most UK cars are not running with a cat :cheesy:
