Hi guys, I know that it's an old thread but there is no need to make a new one I guess.

Can you tell me what is the best option to make my 91 9000 run on Trionic?

I have car body fully stripped. And I'm thinking of two options:

- insert cabin wiring from LH-Jetronic and match it with Trionic engine harness. (I have no idea how to do it and have no specialist to help me).

- insert whole Trionic harness into CC body. The main problem for me are - rear and front lights (obviously CS and CC have different lamps), airbag, audio etc. But if it works, I can make it by myself.

What is better option?

PS. Sorry for my english.

Is that a MY91 9000 turbo or NA?

DI/APC with jetronic or just jetronic?

The most important issue to resolve when converting to T5 is the crank signal.

Unfamiliar with your market and model year changes/options, but I'd put 5.2 on that car. Use existing crank sensor set-up with an aperature disc from a 1993 (US market, yours may vary) 9000 turbo. Leave every other harness (except your engine harness) original to the car. You will need to make or adapt an engine harness (t5.5 9000 would be easy to adapt), and get a custom tune on an ECU

Originally it was MY90, 2.3 N/A Jetronic with DI.

And I have a donor car - MY97 2.3Turbo, of course Trionic 5.5. I can take everything from this car - engine, gearbox, drivetrain, brakes, interior etc.

I can easily swap the whole harness as my CC is after sandblasting, welding and painting so it's a bare bodywork now.

But I'm not sure if I can mod the harness so front/rear lights will work as they are totally different in CC and CS.

On the other hand - if I can swap the whole harness I can have steering wheel with airbag and for example better ABS (some say that ABS pump was slightly better in 1997 than i n 1990).

I know that matching Jetronic harness with Trionic engine harness is possible but I doubt if I can make it by myself.

If you have a donor car the easiest way to make your MY90 trionic would be to swap in the 2.3L turbo engine and gearbox and grafted the FI harness into your car.

Otherwise you're going to need a T5.2 donor car.

OK, so swapping the whole harness is bad idea.

If I guess right, I have to connect interior harness with FI harness in bulkhead area?

Is there any photo-tutorial available?

After FI harness grafted will I have OBDII plug under the steering wheel?

Its your time and your car. It will only need to FI harness for T5 but you can swap everything over if you want. The OBDII plug is part of the interior harnesses.

Here is a thread dealing with converting a MY91 9000T to T5.2.

Absolutely anything is possible given time money and expertise along with fabrication capability.
CLIFFS: in english: don’t bother. Totally beyond reality.
