I'm sure there are plenty posts for this, but for some reasons I search it and nothing comes up, weird right?
Well basically I've been told 1000 times that I should do it by the wheel well or through the top, just remove the tensioner and bracket

But how on this earth do I do that? Not a single video explains it, there are no pictures, am I just too idiotic to understand instructions?

There has to be an easier way to understand this

What do I pull off, how do I do it

Thank you.

If you haven't, download WIS.

If you're looking for hand-holding, it would be helpful if we knew what kind of car you had. :)

I've never been able to get the alternator out the top. Access to the lower alternator bolt is through the wheel well, but that's all you do down there. The alternator can't come out that way. I've always had to take the alternator out the bottom.

I've done it out the top. You remove the strut brace to get all the clearance you need. May need to pry the engine forward a touch, but it comes out the top.
