My 2007 9-3 has the the whole Christmas Tree thing going on, and the local shop wants $100.00 hr to "diagnose" the problem.
I can get a clone for around $300.00.
Does the Tech 2 tell you exactly what the problem is? Or does it take a Professional to actually read the codes and hours to diagnose?

I seem to have some ABS thing...

Just trying to see if it going to be worth buying??

if it's the 2.8 V6 then the tc module is known failure point..

Does the local shop have its own Tech II? If it doesn't, then I don't see how it can really diagnose your problems if they are to do with ABS/TCS/ESP.



There are lots of things on the car which can't be diagnosed without a Tech II*. But, just like any check engine codes, knowing what the codes are, does not necessarily tell you exactly what's wrong or how to fix it.


*Well, you could keep swapping components until the problem goes away. Not sure I'd call that diagnosis.
