I will hopefully be picking up a 9-3 soon, but the one I have my eye on doesn't have the dual zone climate control. It has every other option that I want though. Will the climate control just swap out, or are there certain parts that would also need to be ordered on top of the climate control? I would like to go to the junkyard and pull one out of a wrecked 9-3.

This has been discussed before. It is very involved. No one has done it yet.

The ACC has different ductwork, dampers, stepper motors, control faceplate, and cabin blower. This will be a fun project for a high school kid 10 years from now when junkyards are full of old 93's and TechII emulators run on wristband computers.

bummer, i didn't realize it was that involved. Guess i'll have to wait for my next car...

It's the same with many other options like heated seats, fog lights, parking assistance, Xenon headlights, upgraded stereo etc. It is much easier and less expensive to find the car with the options you want than trying to retrofit them yourself.
