My Check engine Light has been going on and off for sometime now but my car has been running well. More recently, just the other day when I am in an idle position i.e. at a traffic light, the car appears to be running a little rough ( as if there is a misfire of the cylinders). Has anyone experienced this problem before? Does it appear to have some connection to the check engine light issue that I have been experiencing? Could it be a bad spark plug? Time to change the plugs. I have 40,000 kilometres on the current set of plugs.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Marty

Its certainly worth changing the plugs as this is a cheap and easy job.

However it may be that one of your DI's thats the ignition cassette that sits on top of the row of plugs is starting to fail. Sadly you have two of them and they aren't cheap.

Try the plugs first ;)
