New alloy cross-flow intercooler has been on a few days and I like it!

1. Quicker spool-up doesn't sound very exiting, but what it means is instant thrust as soon as you touch the throttle.

2. The top of the rev range is much more zippy and "free". Quote my mate talking about his Yamaha after his new highlift camshaft was fitted "it wants to GO!".

3. On a hot day in May the motor now feels like it does on a frosty morning in December - giving it's best.

Sorry I don't have a dyno result;oops: I'm not sure you'd get the whole story from that anyway for this particular mod.

What make/spec of intercooler? I'm looking to upgrade mine right now.

I had to fork-out for a gearbox after chasing Audis so spent my annual bonus on that and the Abbott intercooler.

Ask how much they can do it for if you want to order wink! They have some competition now......

+) It fitted perfectly and comes with the correct turbo pipe.
+) Has brackets (some don't).
+) The pipes are the right size (some are too big).
+) You don't need to change your water pipes.

-) It is expensive.
