Guys half of my dashboard lights are not working. Can I replace light bulbs or do I need to replace the whole cluster? If so, will my mileage remain the same on the dash or does it require reprogramming? Thank you.

As I read your OP title vs the body, I read it that the cluster lights were not working, vs the other lights... the cluster and the IC display is a single fuse (I believe it's 24 in the engine compartment fuse box). An easy look anyways, if nothing else.

come up w/ anything?

you can replace the individual lights in the cluster, there are several write ups floating around on LED upgrades for it too.
You can also just throw any other cluster in there(i have a Trailblazer SS cluster) but it will not have your mileage, some places can program that for you.

yeah I ended up replacing the whole cluster. got it from Ebay for 75$ with 35k on it, took me five minutes to replace. :) my friend will reprogram it for me to match original miles. tried to replace individual lights but the cluster looked like one piece, meaning hard to get in.so now I can play around with it and might customize. next project to replace my 6CD changer with a factory GPS unit.

Heck, replacing the whole cluster because a bulb is out seems a like a pretty extreme fix! Are they LED's by chance? That might make more sense, but even so I could fix that in 10 minutes.

On the GPS go to http://replacementradios.com/product_info.php?products_id=1084
This is for the Factory headunit. I have no relation to replacement radios but they seemed reputable and were easy to deal with. Lots of aftermarket options too, but I've never had all that much success with the quality of Chinese aftermarkets that claim to do everything, but end up doing nothing all that well.... It took me about an hour to install the factory nav and it works perfectly, all functions including Satellite Radio, steering wheel controls etc. You'll need the Nav DVD. I ended up getting mine from the dealer (~$200 IIRC), but ebay might be an option. It is the same as a number of other GM units on the 97x platform and, I believe, the Hummer....
