A while back I inquired about improving performance "off the line" with an turbo automatic, and others have periodically done the same. Generally, there hasn't been much response other than "get a five speed," although I don't monitor the Forum all the time, so I may have missed something. Anyway, I finally, I asked my mechanic, duh!(the fabulous Walter Wong, for you Southern Californians). Per his recommendation, he put in a 3 bar fuel regulator and a Porsche turbo bypass and tweaked the timing and such. The result has been great. The car has gone from a slug untill the turbo kicked in to completely respectable off the line and then vroooom when the turbo kicks in. I'm now a happy Saab camper. He also said there were other things that could be done, but with an automatic you are playing with fire, i.e, tranny trouble. The whole thing cost about $350. So all you turbo automatic drivers there is hope!!

you do know that your fuel injectors werent meant to handle that much fuel and they can go out.. Correct me if I'm wrong but this is what I've read.

I dont mess with EFI.. I just read about it on here. I've got the old school K-jet.
And this is why your engine melted ;)

To put is in terms that are easy to understand, the Bosch LH jectronic is to a corvette as K-jectronic is to a chevette...

You don't know that for sure. My engine had been sitting for about 15 years or so.... I had planned on taking the engine out and rebuilding anyhow. K-jet is not bad at all if you know what you are doing. You can upgrade to an audi 5 cylinder fuel distributor or even an 8 cylinder mercedes fuel distributor. You seem to think you will run lean on a fuel distributor but that shows how much experience you have with them.
