One of the problems is the limited size of PDF files that can be uploaded/posted here. I can post single-page screen captures by Alt-PrtSCn, pasting on Paint as a bmp file, uploading to Photobucket, copying the link and pasting it here. It takes too much time and is dependent upon me; if I delete the PB file, it no longer works here... Ron

Cabin air distributor drum sticking..and stuck control knobs..i am planning on doing dash out air distributor replacement and was thinking about creating a nice pdf with pictures....there is quite a few threads on this issue on different forums but none presents the procedure from start to end..my only concern at this point is dealing with air bags in a safe manner and making sure that my steering wheel goes back on without any problems..so sticky on this would be nice too :)

as for pictures i would recommend saabphotos.com since photobucket tends to limit bandwidth and it gets really frustrated when you see those default thumbs instead of images..

For my car we should call it, " Saab 9-3 & NG900 Workshop". Maybe I didn't really understand the question? I apoligize if I didn't understand the question.
Ah, kinda what I thought at first too. I think he's suggesting a nice cataloged page of DIY writeups.

swill there are lots of good pages with easy to navigate lists of DIY writeups if that's what you're looking for, I agree sometimes its a PITA to have to search the forums a bunch to find the info you are looking for. Here's a list of the DIY pages I use frequently:

http://www.saabcentral.com/techhelp/gm900_93_index.php
http://www.saabcentral.com/~munki/index.htm
http://photo.platonoff.com/Auto/
http://www.ericsaabsite.com/
http://genuinesaab.com/psi/index.htm
http://www.thesaabsite.com/900new/NG900faqs.htm
and of course the FAQ thread in this very forum.

If there are other good DIY threads in this forum that you think should be in the FAQ thread you should tell one of the mods. And definitely update this thread if there are other DIY pages you know of!

This is what the Saab Wiki is meant to be. www.saabwiki.info

Currently I've got about 70 tech articles posted. I have permission for another 80 or so from www.ericsaabsite.com and Munki's site and am putting them up, a few per day. If anyone wants to help with this, we can get them up a lot faster.
Thanks for chiming in I was looking for the wiki for my earlier post and wasn't trying all that hard but couldn't find it in a google search, I'll be bookmarking that link now.

Yes, keywords need some work in order to improve the google search rank, but I've been concentrating my time on adding more information.
Is there a link in the FAQ thread? If not you should talk to a mod and get it up there. Or just get a thread started with the link to the wiki and let people suggest things that should be written up. I can only put in a few hours a week but I would be glad to help upload stuff too. A page that lists stuff that needs to get uploaded would be great, if that was available anyone could just take a look and upload somethign on the list whenever they had some spare time

There is a thread about the wiki here: http://www.saabcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1627091

I'll try to find some sort of collaboration software that can track what needs to be uploaded.
