Please reiterate. I guess you have having trouble using the ignition key.

Are you using a new or an old key ?
I had some trouble with my spare key(seldom used). I had to jiggle it and use some lock-ease lubricant...Now I just use the old key

Try using a one-two punch of lock cleaner and Lock-ease.

I do not think this is a good place for the ignition lock - in the aspect that liquids(CocaCola) ,dirt, and debris easy fall into the lock. The location is very convenient, no doubt, but the lock is so exposed to the elements that just fall in, molecule by molecule....

But I have never had any trouble with any Saab ignition lock, but I did with the old Mercedes - the cleaning took about 20-25 minutes..
