I am having problems with my idle. When I start my car it won't stay started unless I hold the gas pedel for about a minute and the engine heats up. After that it will idle but it is very rough. The idle will bog down considerably when I am stoped but after I get going it seems fine. Also my traction control light stays on and the traction control doesn't work at all. I replaced some vacum lines and thought that might be my problem but it didnt help. Does anyone else know what I should be looking for. Thank you for the help.

When you turn the key, do you hear a clicking noise? If so, that would be limp-home mode enabled.
You have to change the throttle valve back manually. Probably a sensor at the pedals, throttle valve sensor or similar. You can try to clean the throttle valve and see if that helps.

There is a guide but i cant find it.. I dont want to explain without pictures :p

Good luck!

Thank you. I recently cleaned the throttle body and it happened after that so I was wondering if I messed up something thanks for the info.

I think I found it,Nine : http://www.saabcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1085524#post1085524The Traction Control : I believe this functions in conjunction with the ABS - check out the ABS wheel sensors.. The connections are subject to corrosion..
Otherwise, that is it. You may have to use the services of a good dealer.
It wasn't the one i had in mind, this one is better :D

If you cleaned the throttle body, just check it again and compare it with the pics earthworm linked us to.
It's always best to start at the cheap end. Hopefully all you need to do is "flip back the switch".
