Is there a way to test the waste gate? I have a 99' 9-5 lpt.

Just wanting to know because I'm getting some surging at about 3/4 throttle acceleration. I don't get any surging at idle only under heavier acceleration. I've cleaned the throttle body, MAF, MAP, air intake temp, replaced all vacuum lines, #6 PCV, and o2 sensors. Can the waste gate cause surging?

Yes it can. The first thing I would check is if the air filter is clean and if the air flow is steady and check the hoses. But you have already.

The air filter is new.
