i'm leaving the country for three months, and the 9000 will stay on my outside parking for this period.

i'm planning to buy a covering cloth to protect it, but i was wondering if there are more things i can do to secure the car and keep it in a good condition.

like, can i just disconnect the battery ?
any things i need to do to the engine ? ( 2.3 non turbo, automatic )

thanks for your help....

For just 3 months, I'd change the oil (to eliminate acids), fill the fuel tank (to minimise condensation and oxidation), fill the tires to 60 psi (that's how new cars are shipped to prevent flat spots), and disconnect the battery (to comply with Murphy's Law).

...and stick a bunch of mouse traps in the cabin & engine bay
If you caught one in the cabin the first week, it would smell pretty ripe by the third month.
If rodents are a problem, folk wisdom in New England suggests spreading some mothballs (napthalene) around to discourage them.

Or simply put some mousebait/traps in your neighbors' cars
