My 2nd BPC valve just failed, it was off a 97 9000CD LPT.

Now I am back to base boost.!!

It is an electrical fault, the ohm reading on one pin is .4 ohm instead of 3 ohms.

Has anyone opened one up and repaired it.
I am wondering what I would need to do, not easy since it is a sealed unit.

I belive you may need to replace the transistors in the Trionic unit that control the BPC valve at the same time you replace it. There is a write up on saab9000.com

Thanks for reading

Are you saying the mosfets can kill the BPC valve. From what I read I thought faulty mosfets would blow fuse 5.

If it was mosfets that were dodgy then I would have faulty ones in 2 ECUs. The ECU I am using is a spare, and my original is untouched, except for the pins.

Will check your link and see if it is the same one I have.

Aha - yes it is, I should have read it again.

However I also want to know if anyone has repaired the BPC valves.

the soldering on the ECU is the only fiddle bit
