Hi guys, am looking for a little help with a project.

I'm installing an oil pressure gauge like here: http://photo.platonoff.com/Auto/20090208.Saab_9-5_Oil_Pressure_Gauge/

In that install, he went through the hood cable release. I've been trying to do that, but it's about 4" down under the cowl. So I can't push anything through there with any success.

An alternative was suggested that's under the fusebox, but on my 2003 9-5 it actually is underneath what I'm pretty sure is the ABS module, and the fusebox is in front of that. I didn't think pulling up the ABS module was in my best interest, and that grommet is pretty tight anyway.

Does anyone know of an easy way through the firewall on the driver's side? Anyone run a wire through? I guess I could drill a little hole next to that grommet and run it there, but I'd like to avoid drilling if possible.

Thanks!! ;ol;

Isn't there a bundle of wires coming through around the Radio and/or maybe right behind the go pedal. I pushed one through that and it worked well.

Would be nice...

Thanks TankTak.

I think his has a different configuration. Behind my fusebox is the ABS module - so I can't do what he's suggesting. Maybe I can poke something through that grommet from under the dash and grab it from under the car rather than from the top though.

Seeing under the dash for the first time and now dreading the whole blend door repair. Yikes.

choose which groment under the dash you want to go through, then either drill a small hole through it or insert a screw driver to puncture a hole....then take a pen tube and insert it into the hole and feed the wire through from inside to out and fetch the wire from the engine bay side. I did this route when I ran my power cable through for my subs

Do as all the others have said, that's what I did when I had a boost gauge and it worked out fine.

Got it!

Yay, it worked! I punched a hole in the grommet with an awl and pushed a single strand of 12 ga through it, then fished the two skinny wires through. It's wrapped up by the battery ready to get connected tomorrow. ;ol;

Thanks guys.
