how on earth do you get out the upper screw, i want to repair the switch as it is toast, i have all the wires off
and labeled, but how do i get the swtich out!??! got the lower screw off, it seems the entire dash has to come out! i'm following this guide http://www.sandiegosaab.com/html/howto.htm#Random%20Stalling,%202.0L
but all he says is to remove the lower cover (done) and then pop the screws off as if it is easy!?!?!

Remove the two screws and plastic tab that hold the lower steering column cover in place, and you can unbolt both stalks from the column.

They're attached to a U-shaped bracket, with two screws in the underside. Drop the complete bracket, and then you can unbolt each stalk.

haha, that was the issue, i tried unbloting it from the holder before i had the holder off the wheel. you can imagine how hard the upper bolt was, dooable with an allan key. anywho, i didn't fix mine, made it worse, went to buy a new one $220! no way. used $150! bargained liek no other for a broken one that is better than mine, cost me $10. it won't sat engaged to turn right, but my old one does, this one is stiff, so i think i will saw around innards til i have one good switch!
