just wondered how many viggens was produced and also how many in england??
i have read a couple of reports saying that there are 300-400 does this sound about right??
I new they was a limited edition but how limited are we talking??

I think it was 399 in the 1999 model year. Not sure if that's how many imported to U.S. or total amount made.

I have info for US. I know UK is way lower.

These numbers represent the total number of each body style Viggen imported into the USA:

1999: 3-door > 426 (All Blue)

2000: Convrt > 245
2000: 3-door > 138
2000: 5-door > 421

2001: Convrt > 738
2001: 3-door > 129
2001: 5-door > 285

2002: Convrt > 322
2002: 3-door > 71
2002: 5-door > 157

Totals: 1999 = 426 2000 = 804 2001 = 1,152 2002 = 550
Totals: 3-door = 764 5-door = 863 Convrt = 1,305



for 99-02, here are the totals:
Black-922
Yellow-68
Silver-458
Blue-504
Red-206
Steel gray-774

For the record the UK is lower, but the Viggen bumpers and skirts were put on more cars, so it seems like it was more. They used the Viggen bumpers on the equivelent of our SE models.

I heard that Viggens didnt sell well in Europe because of their handling issues (mostly the toruque steer) Seems like with such limited numbers, they would have been able to sell as many as they produced, but they started limiting them due to lack of interest.

I dont care though, I just want mine back

i would like to know how many black 1999 viggens were sold in the uk i have one and have only ever seen one other black viggen for sale in the uk

Now you've already seen my lounge post.. but the DI cassette went while I was in VT:roll:

I didnt realize that they made anything other than blue Viggens in 1999. I'm certain that was the only Viggen option in the US in 1999.

I need to get married so I'll have an excuse to buy a second, Blue, 3 door Viggen :cheesy:

The 5spd part isnt a factor. If its a Viggen, its a 5spd....no choice there.

there is one less Blue Viggen Convertable as mine got stolen and has never been recovered :x

They are 2 seperate cars... we have the SE, NOT Viggen bumpers and the Aero (which I have) that has 205bhp (mine's 260) the Viggen bumpers and different spoiler.

Still, buying the second Viggen without any excuse would be WAY cheaper than getting married.

Nope sorry, one trans, all 5spds.

If you wanted Viggen looks with an auto in the us you would buy a SE vert in 03', it had the 2.0 and had Viggen seats minus the delta and the full Viggen body kit.

Abroad you could get the Aero with 2.0 manual or auto and that also had the Viggen body kit.
