I searched the threads for amount of oil for an oil change - from what I've read, straight 10w-30 will be more than adequate.....but I can't find how many quarts to dump in. So how many with a filter change?

Thanks in advance.

Oh...it's a 1990 900 turbo convertible 5 spd................

somewhere over 4, under 5 US qts

I think total engine capacity is something like 4.5 US quarts. But remember oil stays in the oil cooler, turbo lines, head, etc... when you drain it.

So I generally add right over 4 quarts at an oil change. Start it up. Turn it off. Check the level. Add a bit more. Go right to the full mark.
