After constant searching, I finally found a wheel style I like that will fit my 9-3, and I can acually afford.

So picture these www.voxxwheel.com/voxxwheels.htm (17" MG style) on a sun green "SE". What do you think?

Will 225/45/17s fit ok? I think this size has about the same sidewall width as the standard 205/50/16s. Or would 215/45/17s be better?

Those are really nice wheels...

You never say whether you're going 17x7 or 17x8. If you're going 17x7, the 225s should be fine. There are lots of folks who run those...

those ARE pretty nice, how much are you gettin them for?...Ive never heard of voxx before but they appear to be a pretty decent maker

I'll most likely get the 17x7 if they work best with 225 tires. As for price, Discount Tire Co. is selling the wheels and tires for $1100, but thats with 215/45/17 tires.

This is a little more than I wanted to pay, so i'm going to try some other venders to see if I can get a better price. If not, $1100 is nowhere near my cousin $5000 wheel purchase for his Expedition.

215/45s will work great with 17x7's, I have 225 width on my 17x8's. I would suggest that you get the 215s if you are concerned with price as they are far more common and a lil bit cheaper than the 225s.

I've given the wheel style to a couple of small wheels shops around town to see if they can get a wheel/tire package cheaper than $1100. Now, only time will tell.
