We hit 42 degrees celcius yesterday (something like 110 in the old scale) and my hose burst on my 9-3 Aero for the second time in under a year. First time was under similar warm conditions. Coolant level was fine before the incident. So my question is this: Is there a more resilient hose out there to prevent this from happening again? Thanks for any help.

I have 18 years with my OEM, but the hoses are due for replacement - 18 years is ridiculous....sick....astounding....unbeleievable...
I think, also beware of Chinese junk - cheap...yes and no !

dunno about anything more resilient, but have not had any issues with daughters hoses in 42+ temps here in Melbourne (1995 900s). You can pick up an OEM upper hose from the pick a part wrecker in Springvale if you are in the same area - they have a couple 9-3's at the moment. I had to get a new drivers door handle and was there earlier today.
