Finally got a chance to test it out for a nice ride


Works good untill around 3k RPM range then it wont accelrate well
if i hold the throttle down it will make a burning smell and eventually smoke
(smoke comes in only through vents)
boost gauge shows a consistant measure
its hard to get it above 4k without worrying about damaging something

works fine if you drive elderlyish

any thoughts ?

Checked the timing?

Can locate the source of the smoke? (Yeah I know, it's the engine:lol: )

Yer clutch is smoked. Or the car makes way too much boost for too long.

hmm clutch was done last year or two suposedly

doesnt smell like burnt clutch either

hard to describe .. the smoke wasnt horrid yet far from pleasant

Clutch is easy to rule out - if it's slipping, the revs'll rise without the road speed doing so. Doesn't sound from the original post that that's what's happening...
