I have a 1999 Saab 9-3 SE Convertible. I'm new to this and I have a problem. About 4-5 days ago I slid off the road and spun around a few times and then today when i went to go somewhere and the airbag light came on. I don't know if the spin out had anything to do with it since it took so long for it to come on or if it's something completely different causing this. If anyone knows what could cause the airbag light to just randomly come on please help me out here. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to Saab Central.

If I had to guess, and this is nothing more than a guess, I'd wonder if you were counter steering violently enough to damage the "watch spring" in the steering wheel.

In any event, a Tech II tool is needed to access the SRS codes and to reset the light. This requires a dealer or an independent mechanic with the (very expensive) code tool. A common OBD reader will not connect to the SRS system.
