My 9-3 just went into limp home mode AGAIN. I just had the throttlebody replaced weeks ago. 3 months before that. and 6 months before that. This is getting ridiculous. Could there be something else that is triggering a sensor?

The mechanic checks the 'codes' and says it is the throttle body. But I'm beginning to wonder if it something else.

Pacotaco,

I will find out the code tomorrow and let you know...
I love Saabs, but a Schwinn is starting to look pretty good too, lol.

Charlie Brown

I'll have the wires checked tomorrow also.

I have always had the 9000 or the 9-5....never had any problems.

I bought this car from someone in Hollywood......it is not horrible, but more problems than the others.

I had the same problem with my 9-3. Throttle body on the tranny kept having to be replaced after my trans was rebuilt. After about 5 throttle bodies aamco finally ordered a throttle body from saab in sweden

The first throttle-body looked like someone took a hammer to it....obviously broken.
the second code was return spring
the third was throttle motor full PWM in closing direction
I don't know what the code is now........can't get it to the mechanic until next week.

Is the position sensor actually 'in' the throttle body? So it would have to be taken out again and taken apart?
