After issues with no fuel, my garage has replaced the internals of the fuel pump in our 04 area convertible. Went off car reg but different connector apparently, they rewired the power (presum cut off and soldered up the 2 power lines), car apparently started, ran for a couple of minutes, they truned ignition off, then tried to restart abut now won't start. Diagnostic machine showing ECU malfunction. Sounds scary and expensive... Anybody got any ideas, is there any chance at all its a small issue causing a major sounding warning?... Thanks

was the pump oe or aftermarket....if it was the right pump for the car they shouldn't have needed to chop anything, also pretty sure i read on here somewhere that the fuel pump is controlled by the ecu,so it's posssible with the cut & splicing of wires, the ecu could have been blown..
