Lately my heater(blower) fan has been really acting up. It surges randomly from one speed to another and is driving me crazy. It is a completly random thing. It does not occur when I hit a bump or anything like that, I could be sitting there at idle and it will blow at high, then low, then med etc etc....seriously psychotic. Sometimes it works fine for a few minutes, then back to psycho.

So I am hoping to find out more about the temp regulation system in this car. Does anyone know where the fan speed regulator is? Is it built into the control unit just below the stereo?

Also is there a interior sensor that could be causing the regulation problems? There is a round 'thing' right next to the seat heater activation button on the console down near the stick shift (below the heater controls) that I was curious about. It looks like it could have something to do with the heater control.

Can anyone help? Much appreciated.

Wow, thank you!!

hkayssi,

Thank you for the help, that was perfect.
One last question, i guess is where would you suggest ordering it from?

www.thesaabsite.com has it for $118. Seems steep, but I guess that might be reasonable, comparatively.

Thanks again!!
