hi guys, does anybody know if there is an element under the seat that can be repaired or replaced as my drivers seat does not get hot anymore!:roll: ive changed the switch and have power but still no heat! any replies would be appreciated, cheers mick.

Heated seat failure - look for broken wire
Seat heater failure is most often caused by a break in the wire that goes through the seat pad in the seat bottom. Peal back the seat bottom cover and look for a scorched spot - usually on the outside rear - caused by the stress of entry/exit. Resolder and you are good to go.

"The seat cover is secured to the seat's wire frame by "hog rings" in a number of places; these are circular rings that need to be spread apart to remove them, and I found that regular and needle nose pliers work best for this. There are two hog rings in the front on the underside of the seat, and five of them on the back of the lower cushion. Then as you peel the cushion back, there are spring fasteners at each lower cushion seam that fasten the seat cover to the wire frame underneath the lower seat cushion"

After you do what bmacb mentions above, more than likely you will see a burned spot where the wire in bottom seat heater pad opened up. The seat back pad on these seats rarely goes bad.
To repair it take some wire and solder it in between the break in it.
I have done this to a seat heater pad once and it does work. It ended up failing again in the same exact spot, so instead of resoldering it again, I opted for replacing the pad with a brand new one.
