Good luck... as far as I know you have to take the covering off, and there is a screw about 6' from the top of the "track" where the headrest slides in... we had the same issue w/ my brothers saab, he wanted to take his off when we finally figured out how to take it off he decided against it since there was a hold in the top, He isn't the most "mechanically inclined"
