When the headlights have been turned on a while the headlight switch gets warm and is a bit stiff to turn.

It is not like this when it is cold and you turn the lights on.

Is the "warm switch" normal?
What can I do to stopit getting warm, and how can I stop it getting stiff to turn off.

Sounds like the switch contacts are not connenting properly or the plastic is distorted. Easiest solution is to get a new switch. Then you can take the old one apart with no risk.

As carefully as possible, I'd clean the switch contacts, I suspect resistance is causing heat....I never turn off the lights...very seldom even use the switch....its loose anyway, one tab is broken, I think..
