is there any way to get the headlight ficture out without removing the front bumper?

and do you need the wirecover on the back of the headlight for it to go back in?

Which side?

If it's the passenger side, you could go as far as removing the air filter box to get more clearance. Do a search for instructions. It's a tight squeeze, but I've changed out all my bulbs without removing the air filter box.

If it's the driver's side, the windshield washer reservior fill tube lifts straight up & out. Give it a tug and fear not - you won't break anything by pulling up on it. It's pretty easy to remove the battery cover as well. Do both and you'll have more room.
