Hey guys,
I have one Xenon (driver side) and one Halogen (Passenger Side) headlamp assembly installed on my '06. I am wanting to know if I remove the Xenon Assembly and dismantle it, are there plugs to install the halogen blubs? Basically I want to convert the Xenon assembly to Halogen. I plan on putting a 6000K HID kit in place of halogen bulbs.

This seems backwards. Would it not be easier and better IMHO to just source a Xenon assembly to replace the halogen nonsense? Then just buy two 6000K D1S bulbs and you have a proper factory setup in the nice white colour?

If I can find a cheap enough Xenon assembly I will do just that. But the cheapest I can find is $500. Just seems rather stupid to pay that much for one assembly, and then have an extra one.

Understood on that one

There are a lot of 1st and 2nd gen 9-5s being parted out all the time, but I haven't seen many, if any, '06-'09 models..

Yeah, makes you wonder where all of them are. I can get a brand new OEM assembly from a former Saab dealer in Atlanta, GA for $700. But geez, I have other things on the car that the money could go towards. So, if anyone wants to get rid of a Xenon assembly let me know please. Thanks in advance.

They're just so darn reliable, they never make it to the junk yards! :lol:
