There was no problem at all getting the Roadworthy, that 'smear' of oil is hardly noticeable, so all good. The car is now properly mine and I'm dead happy with it. Lovely thing in such nice nick.
It seems the 'S' is the lower trim model... But I think it stands for 'STEALTH' so I'm assuming the boozebus won't see me coming or going! ;-)
Since you have a 2.3, I'm guessing that you have an NG900. The NG900 SE was also available with a V6. The about the only thing you got standard with a 900 SE that wasn't available as an option on the S model was automatic climate control, and the option of a turbo. Most everything else could be added to the S model as an option.

If i replace the SID in the dash with a used one does it need to be reprogrammed (Tech ll )to my car?
If i just replace the ribbon on my existing SID would that have to be reprogrammed (Tech ll ) or will it be okay
After my electrical extravaganza was finished... I was left with an SRS error. I think perhaps the current surges damaged my SRS computer. I was in the console replacing the ignition switch, so there's a chance I pushed the connector around.
