I've never come across snobby Saab drivers tho. :nono;;)
if you think the saab community is snobby (not saying you do, just making a point) try talking to those among the WRX community! man i may be biased, but im sorry, there are far too many WRX drivers who think they're the hottest S** in the world.

i personally love the saab community- most people are really friendly and NOT judgemental.

Just for the record, I don't think, in general, that Saab owners are snobby. Quite the opposite from what I've encountered.

I haven't had any bad encounters with WRX owners. Yet. They all drive like immature morons here though. Evo, WRX, STi, and turbo VW drivers here are all in the same category. To be avoided. Uncontrollable acceleration. Too much testosterone, not enough life lessons.

BMW owners seem to be the most snobby around here.

HA! couldn't agree more, maybe with the exception of BMW drivers- i haven't had problems.....yet.

I guess i'm just a kid myself too, but the reason behind the egos and stuck up attitude (not trying to bash ALL wrx, evo, etc drivers though) is that many kids driving them around here only have them because of their Daddy's wallets. Most the kids are my age and think they are better than every one else because of what they drive i guess.

I will just take solace in the fact that i worked hard for a year and earned all the money to buy my saab :cheesy:.

enough with my rant- and back on topic. I actually am surprised at the number of people around here who are familiar with saabs. Many are accustomed to the older models, an i will say that newer ones almost look like a hybrid audi/bmw. I don't think that detracts from their soul though. :cheesy:

My friends call them the Swedes or the Snaabs. They drive German cars. ...Or their service loaners.
I call my 9-5 a snaaaab. Just rolls off the tongue easily. Nothing to do with snobby owners, every SAAB owner I know is quite low key about their cars, same as Volvo owners (just less hippie..) For the record I love Volvo's and my next car will probably be a V70-R.

Maybe it's a nervous tick due to the German cars in the garage :p

I've been pulled over before and the cop thought I was driving a volvo, I personally think the rear looks more like a bmw. Usually people don't know what it is, and definitely don't know the country of origin. When i take it to a shop, most of the time on the receipt it says service for sabb. which is a little scary that they are working on a car they cant spell.

My wagon has been called a subaru couple times. For instance, ones i was on a 3 day hunt, deep in colorado mountains in a middle of a snow storm. Most of 4x4s that were there had chains and i was on my 17" summer tires with no chains or cables! They were asking how my subaru was doing :cheesy:
