Hi all,

I'm new to the forum but not new to Saabs. I recently bought my stepfather's 1997 900S with 159K miles. The car is in great shape and it feels great to own the car he would never let me drive when I was in high school.

The hatch shocks went a couple of years ago. I bought some new ones from Eeuroparts, but I can't for the life of me figure out to replace them. I've searched the forums, but can't find a post on how to replace the shocks.

Any help is much appreciated.

There may be a clip, or they just pull out...

P.S. there is a Washington Saab club meeting going on very shortly this afternoon. But the location is classified. Its going on in Reston...I'll pm my number if you are intersted in showing.

The clips were rusted in there. A little WD-40 and some muscle strength was all it took. Now it works.
