The display on the dash that tells me things about the car started to loose parts of the messages and when I went to just turn off the display, my temp and gas gauges went to zero. If I ignore the partial failure of the message screen and leave it on, my other gauges come back to normal. It seems to me a grounding problem. How do I get behind the dash? Any ideas as to these symptoms?

If by "turn off the display" you mean "press night panel", that's normal. It's to be used at night to reduce the cluster to speedometer only... or speedometer and any system in "warning" mode (high temp, over boost, gas tank low, etc).
