Lower Suspension Brace (minimum 8 required!)
The group-buy brace kit would include:
1) 1 piece 4 point lower subframe brace - RM396.00
2) Pictures from my digicam and printer on how to install.

The suspension brace is <5kg, shipping a parcel will cost:
UK (regular freight) - RM54.30 - <30 days delivery
UK (air freight) - RM204.90 - <10 days delivery
US (regular freight) - RM54.70 - <40 days delivery
US (air freight) - RM260.30 - <15 days delivery

Thus, the total cost would be:
UK (regular freight) - RM396.00 + RM54.30 = RM450.30 (GBP 67.29)
UK (air freight) - RM396.00 + RM204.90 = RM600.90 (GBP 89.77)
US (regular freight) - RM396.00 + RM54.70 = RM450.70 (USD 122.26)
US (air freight) - RM396.00 + RM260.30 = RM656.30 (USD 178.07)

This is quite good compared to the genuinesaab kit http://www.genuinesaab.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=56_28&products_id=35 for the 9-3, this is for the 9-5 only.)

The only thing here is that we need 8 of them confirmed before he will give me the 30% discount.

Let me know if I messed up my maths or something along the way.

According to my indy it will fit both the pre and post '02 models, but as he has not worked on the suspension of a 2006 one yet we'll have to wait on that to see if they changed that.

One of us in the Malaysian SAAB Club should be taking delivery of an '06 model next week, so I'll let you know on the '06 whenever I get a chance to see what it looks like under the car with a measuring tape.

Actually, the local SAAB club is heading up to Frasers Hill this weekend, so I'll only be able to get the pictures up next week. Sorry folks! :)

So this is trying to say the SAAB 95 chassis is weak/flawed?
Well certainly the 9-5 subframe has far less flex in it than the 9-3 does, and I wonder how the undershields fit over that lot

My wife's bone stock '96 9-3 SS with 16" wheels has less body roll than my '02 9-5 Aero with Eibach prosystem suspension (shocks & springs).:(

My experience is that the chassis is a bit flexy in the front, causing a bit of delay in transmitting driver input to the wheels. My car was transformed by the brace, much sharper and more responsive.

Off to the hills with the local SAAB club tomorrow morning for the weekend. should be fun, I'm taking the slammed Porsche-brake equipped c900 :)

Post again on Monday, unless I can find a wifi hotspot up there or something... :D

That makes absolutely no sense. (no offense :cheesy: )
Opps I meant 2006, not 1996. Believe it or not the stock 9-3SS handles at least as good as my '02 9-5 Aero with suspension mod.
