I bought a used G6 APC for my 85 C900. There is quite a difference in performance, but when I get into the red it seems like either the fuel is cut off or it's just not getting enough fuel. Every thing else is stock. Where do I start to fix it?

Fuel Pressure Regulator?
Fuel Injectors?

A friend told me to try this:

"at the ecu in the left kick panel where the ecu is, pull back the carpeting, there will be a white wire with a brown strip , or vice versa, going into the ecu at the bottom, and if you look at the top of the ecu,, same wire coming out, disconect both and plug them together , DONE, no fuel shutoff"
