Man I just have no idea what's going on with this car now.
Just recently I took a left doing about 20 MPH and there came a griding sound from the front, drivers' side wheel. A short time later I took a left doing about 5 MPH and there was no grinding. Since then I've realized that the griding only happens when I'm doing over ten miles an hour and taking a left.
It is just a disgusting sound that draws the attention of everyone around me. What in the name of God is my problem? CV joint? Steering? Wheel bearing? Something else?

My first guess would be a wheel bearing. A failing outer CV joint usually makes a clicking noise when turning. A failing inner joint usually results in vibration/shimmy during hard acceleration that gets worse while turning one way.

It is also possible that one or more bushings in the suspension arms are wearing out, the suspension is sagging a bit, and rubbing as you turn.
