Hi.
Can anyone advise what will be the worst scenario when I heard a click sound and also grinding sound when I reversed my 96 Saab 2.5 V6 out of the driveway with the steering wheel fully turned to right or left ?

Does it happen when you first select R or while you are going in reverse?

If it happens just as you select R, it is probably syncro related. Select a forward gear first, then R.

Also look into a shift linkage alignment.

If the problem shows when the steering wheel is turned fully; couldn't this be from the Power steering as well?

I would guess you need to isolate which is causing the noise; test the steering from lock to lock while stationary and see if the noise repeats; then if not follow up with movement tests to locate it.
