I have gone through the tests in the bentley manual and am completely stumped. Car is a friend's 89 900Turbo Conv. 5spd. Was running fine, parked it. next day wouldn't run.

What I have done so far:
Spark was good. No noise from pump.
Checked for voltage at pump and it was zero.
The pump runs when I jump it from the fusebox [27 & 30].
Have 10.45volts at terminals 85 and 86 at the FPR socket.
Pump runs when terminals 30 and 87 are jumped.
I checked the relay by putting 12 volts to 85 and 86 and there was continuity between 87 & 30 and 87a & 30.
I also checked two other relays I have and they tested properly and still nothing.

Could it be that the relay is only getting 10.45volts to close?
However, even when I jump the pump [30&87] at the FPR socket the engine will start up and die off almost immediately.

Also I can feel both relays click if I touch them and turn the key.

Anybody have any ideas what to test next? I attempted to pull the codes but the 10 pin connecter is wired differently then the bentley illustrates.

Not sure if it matters, but there is a draw on the battery. Tried tracing it but it remained even when all the fuses and relays where pulled. He has been hooking it up to a trickle/float charger everynight to ensure the battery won't go dead.
