My 82' 8valve turbo sedan is leaking some fuel. I'm not sure where exactley but its comming from the area where the fuel piping goes into the fuel tank. It only seems to leak while the car is running. I suspect some sort of a bad fuel gasket or shoddy o-ring is to blame. Any suggestions?

Yes.

Check:
1. The little overflow tubing running from the filler area out the bottom of the trunk. Mine was severed and got gas in the trunk when I filled it.
2. The plastic neck and piping itself will get brittle and crack (the seam is the weak point) over time, especially where it meets the tank and the filler neck. Hard to see sometimes because the crack is along the seam many times.
3. Since it seems to happen when the car is running, I would suspect seals on the pump or a small crack in the fuel line near the pump outlet. The gas would run down into the lower trunk and puddle near the plastic filler pipe.

Good luck. These things are never easy to track down.
